The function of the FAAE Board of Directors is to provide long-term planning overview, corporate sponsorship and development, community outreach, program support and fiscal oversight.

The Board meets month during the first 5 months of the year, and meets weekly during the 3 months prior to the Pistahan Parade and Festival. The Board is relied on by the volunteer staff for big-picture strategies, decisions and direction. The Board also reviews, approves and audits program budgets and financial reports.

The Board is not required to make a financial contribution, and there is no paid staff on the Board.
